As a son of Dionysus, Bernard has the basic powers that come along with being his child. Bernie has the Chlorokinesis, which is the power to control and manipulate vegetation, so he's able to make plants move around as he pleases and wills them to do with them. For example, he'll be able to make a vine twist around someone or make a squish a bunch of grapes for juice with just one movement of his hand without having to touch the grapes. He also has the power to induce insanity into people, and that happens especially when he's angry. But then, it's not just anger--its the conscience knowledge that he's doing it, so it depends on whether he wants to make people insane or not that it will be employed. Bernard also has the power to cure insanity as well.

Fatal Flaw (fears.min.1)
1. Bernard's fatal flaw is that if he gets too depressed, his instinct is to lose himself with pleasure, like wine and parties. He'll have no drive to confront what's depressing him, and that can prove fatal for him.
Bernard is a pretty easygoing and laid-back guy. He's calm and it's not easy to anger him. He'll just react to any acts of meanness with amusement and fun quips of his own, but he really does not mean any malice. Something has to be a really dramatic offense for him to get the least bit angry, such as killing a loved one or harming them. Bernard focuses more on having fun than on holding grudges and expending his energy on being angry. He totally loves to have fun, and even though he does force himself to work because life and being a demigod requires that he have a level of commitment, discipline, and hard work if he wants to defend himself against dangers and be a proper camper. Generally, though, he prefers to have parties more than to do work, even if he isn't deadbeat, lazy, or incompetent. He's capable of being a regular demigod, but again, he'd rather enjoy himself more than suffer if he can help it. He's also social and out there. He likes to flirt with the girls and make friends with the guys, and he also is quite charismatic and charming as well.

History
Claimed? Yes
How many years have they been at Camp? 4
Other family members:
Bernard Neville, surprisingly, was born with both a mortal mother and a father--or so he thought. He knew that his mother, Alice Neville, of Washington D.C., was married to George Neville, who was supposedly his biological father. The truth was that Alice--who was then Alice Thorne was ashamed of becoming pregnant with a guy who left her and was on the verge of getting an abortion. However, Alice was stopped by her brother Harold Thorne, who implored her to forget the past and keep the baby, cherish it and love it. He and friends were able to give Alice the support she needed to be sound of mine and go through the pregnancy. And during her pregnancy she developed feelings for one of her brother's friends, George Neville, who likewise fell in love with her. George proposed to Alice and promised to be like a biological father to her child and that they would be a family of three. That helped a lot and Alice couldn't have asked for a better husband than George.
So Bernard was born and George signed his birth certificate as his father, and growing up George had been everything like a father to him. Alice shortly married George and became a Neville after Bernie's birth. Bernard had no idea whatsoever that George was not his true father because all was so happy and ordinary. However, skip to when he was 14 years-old when a mysterious person had a "talk" with his mother about the dangers surrounding him and taking him to camp. Alice knew what he meant, but she refused because she wanted Bernie to take no part in demigod life. However, two days later Bernie had been attacked by a monster. He was able to run away from it, but when he told his mother about it, Alice knew that she had no choice but to break the truth to him.
She sat both George and Bernie down (George had no idea that Bernie's father was a god) and told them all about Dionysus and what having a child with them meant--or, in other words, the peril of being an untrained demigod, and that he needed to go to Camp Half-Blood. Obviously, both Bernie and George thought that Alice had been completely insane. Although, Bernie was also a bit open to that idea because who was he to judge what was insane when he had witnessed a monster? Anyway, Bernie ended up going to camp anyway and has since realized the truth. Shortly after he joined camp, he had been claimed by Dionysus. He has since been at camp, and has been for four years. Now he is 18 years-old.
