Overall description of personality (100 words minimum)
Technokinesis is Ellis' primary power. She can control machines with a single touch and get them to do her biddings. As a daughter of Hephaestus also gives her the ability to be a naturally expert craftswoman and builder. She has a particular interest in robotics and hopes to go to college for advance robotics. Her best invention to date is the leg she crafted for herself for the emergency amputation preformed on her left leg when she was ten years old. She has one cybernetic leg for her days in the mortal world and one model for her to wear during her time at camp. Ellis is also very obviously a daughter of Hephaestus as seen in her physique. Ellis is unusually tall for her age and built like a mountain; she has bulging muscles from hours upon hours in the forge and doing weights. She also has a natural resistance to heat and practically shuts down during the cold months.

Nancy Wake grew up watching her mother work away in his specialty car mechanic shop. She would sit in her favourite spinning chair in the corner and watch Hannah pull apart engines and reassemble them within hours or tinker with the inner electronics of a car to find and fix a problem. Nancy was completely taken by her mother’s skill and always enjoyed the moments when the two of them would stay after hours in the shop as Hannah would teach Nancy everything she knew. Nancy's sister, Dorothy, was not such a fan of mechanics as her sister and instead considered such dirty work beneath her. Because of that, the two sisters fought like cats and dogs. Nancy grew up to replace her mother at the specialty shop while her sister left the family. It was during a seemingly ordinary day that Nancy met Hephaestus, and proceeded to have a one night stand with the man. Nine months later, Nancy gave birth to Elizabeth Wake. Nancy adored her new baby daughter despite how she struggled to balance her work with raising a child. Still she adored her new daughter and loved taking her to the shop with her much like her mother had done with her.
When Ellis was four years old her mother was killed during a home invasion. The only family Ellis had left was her aunt Dorothy who lived on the other side of the country. She traveled in a plane by herself just hours after her mother's funeral to San Francisco to live with a woman she had never met before in her life. Dorothy Lacroix was a divorced D list actress who was down on her luck and was in no way shape or form willing to take on a four year old. Added to the fact that there was no love lost between the Wake sister, Ellis and Dorothy's relationship was doomed from the start. Right from the start the two
of them butted heads. Dorothy's apartment was obviously just made for one person so Ellis was forced to sleep on the couch in the living room. Her aunt also forced her to throw out many of her possessions because they didn't have the room for it. Due to Dorothy's recent bad luck, the woman had started resort to drugs and alcohol to drown away her troubles. For the most part, she left Ellis to her own devices and for her part, Ellis couldn't be happier with the arrangement. She was still trying to deal with the loss of her mother and get ready for the preschool she would start attending in a weeks’ time.
Ellis' started preschool with an explosive entrance. 'Explosive' meaning she literally blew up the school toilets. The teachers were beside themselves with anger but Ellis was more morbidly fascinated with the whole ordeal than anything. Thankfully, she was not the only one. A boy in her class approached her afterwards and introduced himself as Damian. That was beginning of a very long, perilous friendship. Damian was the real reason why Ellis put up with her Dorothy instead of just packing up her things and leaving. The next several years involved numerous daring adventures with Damian and as little time as possible spent in her aunt's presence as physically possible.
