Fatal Flaw (fears.min.1)
1.His fatal flaw is excessive curiousity. However he is worried that one day he'll run into peril, fall foul of the wrong person or cast a dangerous spell that will cause devistation,l thank to reckless curiosity.
When first meeting Thomas many would comment upon his
ability to make them either smile or raise an eyebrow thanks to his quirky if
not weird sense of humour, which is achieved entirely through his open nature
and general optimism. Friendly by nature Thomas isn’t one to turn away company,
especially since he craves it so much. Curious by nature Thomas is the type of
person that can disappear for hours on a whim following some autumn path or
immersing himself within a new craze before jumping onto the next spontaneous
interest. His curiosity is somewhat boundless and if he’s no trying to decipher
Latin spells he’s reading things he shouldn’t be.
On the other hand, Thomas can be quite a troublemaker, cheeky and always up for
a laugh he’s usually pulled into some silly prank that his friends have cocked
up, he's reckless and doesn't really care for his safety thanks to his naive
sense of optimism with that in mind however he can be incredibly devious and if
you were to hurt any of his loved ones he'll find a way to take his revenge.
Smart sarcastic and with enough wit to last a life time Thomas adores learning
about the world around him and enjoys devouring as much knowledge as he can. Of
course his attention span is something that needs work easily distracted and
incredibly restless!
Stubborn to boot, once Thomas has made his mind up its
almost impossible to change it, he can be a bit moody as well if not a tad
anti-social especially if he’s tired or in a terrible mood. He’s quick to come
around however, especially if you fetch him cheese cake, for that he’d do
almost anything.
Of course he’d never tell his friends about his troubles, his unquestionable
sense of loyalty and his need for inclusion stems from his subconscious desire
to please everybody, in his mind if he can’t make people happy they’ll leave
him, or laugh at him, it’s this as well that fuels his apologetic nature, the
more flustered he gets the more he‘ll apologize, though he’d always hide it
behind a sarcastic comment or a witty remark.
Easily flustered Thomas tends to babble when he’s feeling
nervous rambling on until he completely forgets himself and the point that got
him nervous in the first place. He doesn’t hold much faith in himself and he’s
used to people giving up on him, and therefore doesn’t hold much faith in
people that aren't in his immediate friendship group.
Thomas can be quite sensitive though he'll brush it off with a sarcastic
comment or roll of his blue eyes he won't forget it. He tends to bottle up his
emotions which of course never ends well for him. While he's not a quiet person
he can be prone to bouts of subjective shyness should he thrust into a
situation he's not entirely happy about or if he can’t grasp something. He can
be quite pensive and enjoys his alone time to collect and figure his thoughts
especially when things get just a little bit too much for him - however once
he's pushed to breaking point he tends to explode.
Like most demi gods Thomas has ADHD which are inborn battlereflexes and senses, he’s dyslexic – as his brain is hard wired for Ancientgreek. However as a child of Hecate Thomas has a natural abilityto translate Latin (as most magic spells are crafted from the language).
Mystiokinesis - the ability to control anatural form of energy, for example turning other people into animals, manipulating the elements control over others and levitation. As a son of Hecate Thomas can harness andcontrol this magical energy giving him the ability to cast magical spells andillusions. Most spells begin with the word ‘incantare’ and usuallyspoken/written in Latin.
Thomas has a basic to a growing intermediate skill level over his mystiokinesis he enjoys levitation spells and messing with the elements however he isn't an incredibly acomplished user and tends to weaken (becoming tiredy and achey) after prolonged use of his power. He has a bad habbit of trying spell he knows he doesn't have the skill to pull off.
Claimed? yes
How many years have they been at Camp? 4
Other family members: Graham Fox - 45 - College lecturer
Thomas’ father Graham was the literature lecturer at the Universityof Newcastle. Graham was a dedicated teacher and devoted most of his time tohis students, one night however in the library he came across a strange youngwoman who shared a passion for his favourite genre. Of course instantly he wassmitten and two spent three months together before the woman disappeared fromhis life. Only returning a year later with a baby in her arms the woman explainedto Graham that she was the goddess Hecate and the child was the produce oftheir affair together.
And then she disappeared. Graham took to fatherhood like a duck took to water,he was dedicated and loved his son, naming him Thomas he watched the child growinto a healthy young boy. They weren’t the richest family but they were happy.Things changed however when a strange occurrence at Thomas’ primary school hadGraham up sticks and move across the pond to America – he remembered Hecate’swarning of monsters and because he didn’t want to lose his son he took a position in a quiet lazy town where he believed Thomas would be out of harm’s way.
Thomas adored his new home, he made a few friends though he struggled in school– he could never understand the teachers writing and reading tasks were hard! Math wasn’t too bad but he hated science logic was dumb and it took the mystery away from the world – it quickly became his worst subject. Finally he grew into a happy teenage boy though most of his teachers wrote him off as a lost cause (thanks to his dyslexia); things drastically took a turn for the worst when his home was attacked by monsters, and attack they barely escaped. His father finally accepted that Thomas could never be safe drove him all the way to Camp Halfblood.
On the journey to the camp Thomas discovered his true parentage and though heinitially didn’t believe it, calling his father ‘a loon’ at first, however it began to make senseand as he was dropped off at the boundaries of the camp Thomas said a tearfulgoodbye and promised to learn to protect himself so he could live with his dadagain.
