Adelaide is your typical Jupiter child. She was born with an innate sense of leadership and she finds it easy to command large groups. She is confident under pressure and thinks it natural to lead the legion on most days. She takes a fierce interest in the legion and it's well-being. Willing to put the good of the Romans before the good of herself. She wouldn't be a child of Jupiter though without some negative traits. She is exceedingly stubborn and will relentlessly push and nag until she gets her way or until her point of view is seen. She is a bit impatient, especially when she knows something needs to be done. She will sometimes go nights without sleep working on paperwork or going over referral letters from new probatios. She tends to throw herself into her work, trying to mold herself into the model praetor. Because of this she tends to give off an heir of being cold and strict though if someone took the time to work past those walls they would see a humorous, caring girl underneath. She is fiercely loyal to Rome and her legion and tries hard to be what she thinks her legion expects her to be.
powers
Adelaide's main power is electrokinesis which gives her the power to call and manipulate lightening and electricity. She herself is immune to electricity and lightening and finds herself feeling re-charged when there's a thunderstorm moving through the area. She finds it easy to summon electricity such as sparks or mild shocks but lightening tends to take it out of her. She's learned to control her powers with lightening but if she gets exceedingly angry and accidentally calls a bolt down it will usually knock her out for a few hours until she rests. The minor power she has is atmokinesis which lets her control the weather. She finds it easier to call the rain or lightening than it is to actually stop it or control it. If she pushes herself to control the weather and try to bend it to her will she'll usually get dizzy or pass out until she rests. Like all children of Jupiter she has enhanced leadership skills that make her excell in leading anything from a small group to a large one. Because she is a child of the big three she is slightly more faster than most demigods.
history
claimed? yes
how many years have they been at camp? 8 at camp, 1 with Lupa
other family members:
Lila Dane Clark - Mother
100 words minimum of their history leading up to camp:
Adelaide was born to Lila Clark, a field agent with the CIA. Zeus had fallen for her mother while watching her lead a squad of undercover agents through a remote part of Russia on a mission. She had thought he was a spy sent to kill her and when she out-smarted his "attack" he had instead of pulling a gun pulled out his charm. The two were charmed with each other and he confessed to who and what he was. Lila had listened and believed, wanting a child of her own who would have the potential to be great. Zeus obliged and soon Adelaide was born.
From the moment she was born she had high expectations. Her mother was a respected operative and her father was King of the Gods. There was no "playtime" in store for the blonde, blue-eyed little girl. she grew up strict and she grew up well versed in learning. Her mother made sure she attended some of the best schools she could afford. It wasn't long and the girl grew up, knowing who she was and what was expected from the very start.
When she turned 10 her father sent a message to her mother explaining who Lupa was. It was customary for most 12...sometimes 14 year olds to be taken to the she-wolf but Zeus wanted to make Adelaide prove herself. His arrogance was sure that his children could do anything the others could at least a year before so off she was sent. It was hard of course. Lupa had not gone easy on her because of her age, instead she was a target. The wolf made her strong, made her tough and forged all of the expectations her parents had into steel.
She graduated the wolf house and found her way to Camp Jupiter, with the recommendation letters from not only her father and mother but other sponsors who had seen her train she was immediately put into the first cohort and began working her way up the chain of command. She found military life easy to adapt to and move inside on a professional level. The personal level was a whole other story of course, she rarely had time to make friends or do anything for herself. She spent her days off studying or training, working her way into the leadership role as one of the camp's Praetors. She's been at camp five years and a Praetor for one. She takes the role very seriously and will do whatever means necessary to see the future of her legion survive.
