1. Losing someone from his cabin
Benjamin is your typical Hermes guy. He loves pranking people and having fun. He's not the type of guy that can stand to stay still or be quiet for very long. He enjoys messing with people, not anything deadly harmful...usually. He just tends to annoy most people past the point of knowing when he should stop while he's still ahead..or alive. He enjoys pranking people, and occasionally stealing the random odd things from other cabins. He's the kind of guy who has lots of friends, but they tend to keep him at arm's length because of how much he annoys and/or messes with them. He doesn't share many personal thoughts or feelings, he usually pushes them aside and jokes outwardly even if he's sad or upset on the inside. He has an overall nonchalant attitude and tries to not let life and seriousness get him down. He doesn't have much of a temper, he can roll with most punches ( yes..sometimes literally). The only thing that would set him off would be if someone messed with his family in a harmful way. He tries to diffuse most angry situations with jokes and humor but messing with his family would put him in a whole other mindset. He enjoys his powers and gifts from his father. Unlike some of the other campers he loves his Dad and is happy where he's at in life.
powers
Ben has typical Hermes powers. He can steal things very easily...even when the other person might be expecting it. He isn't as good as some of his brothers and sisters, but he is decent at it. It's one of his powers that he only uses when he wants to mess with people. He rarely uses it in fighting or training. He, like other Hermes kids can also speed travel. That is a skill he isn't very good at. Instead of teleporting he usually opts for simple running. He is an excellent runner and can usually outrun most of the kids at camp. He will use speed travel when absolutely necessary, but he typically ends up a few (or hundred) feet away from where he was intending to be. He is also well versed in picking locks and breaking into things. He has a knack for rigging traps up for unsuspecting campers. He tends to use his powers more for his own amusement rather than protection. he still trains and works hard to control them, but they are more part of his personality than something special about him.

100 words minimum of their history leading up to camp:
Benjamin was born to Claire Bethanny Stellis, a very beautiful and semi-successful small screen actress. She had met a man after leaving a restaurant and waiting for her car to be brought around. It was pouring down rain, and he had an umbrella. The two had struck up a conversation and then later she had left the charming stranger. She had gotten halfway down the road when she realized she must have forgotten her cell phone. She had used the driver's cell to call hers and the handsome stranger had answered. She had turned the car around and then offered to take him home as a thank you for finding her cell phone that she had apparently dropped.
The two talked all the way to his place, and one thing let to another. The couple had went their separate ways in the morning and nine months later she had a little baby boy. She hadn't contacted the man and was determined to raise the boy on her own. She had him in the best private schools money could offer, but it didn't amount to much. Benjamin was constantly getting in trouble in school. He was always telling jokes, randomly taking things from his classmates and pulling pranks on his teachers. He was kicked out of five private schools before he hit middle school.
The work bored him and he complained to his mother that they all wanted him to be too serious, too stuffy. Benjamin and his mother fought constantly, she never understood why he couldn't behave and he never understood why she would want him to. It was a tense relationship, with Benjamin feeling like he was always being forced to be someone he wasn't. The years went on and then Ben turned sixteen. He was walking out of the principle's office after yet another detention when a guy grabbed him by the shirt and started pulling him toward the exit. He immediately began struggling and pushing the person off when he noticed what the guy was.
The guy, a satyr began to explain things hurriedly to him explaining who he was and where he needed to go. Oddly Benjamin never doubted the strange creature. He had known he didn't fit in from the beginning and was relieved to know that it wasn't his fault. Ben said he needed to say goodbye to his mother and grab some things when the stranger had again grabbed him and spoke quickly. He had told him that their home was attacked and his mother was gone. He explained that some sort of creature was stalking him and killed his mother before he could be stopped. The creature had been after Ben. Ben felt his knees buckle and before he could put all of this into perspective a monster had appeared out of nowhere and charged at the two.
The satyr was quick and the two had survived the ordeal. They made their way to camp, avoiding monsters, and trying their best to survive. Ben made it to camp barely three months after turning sixteen. When he crossed over the camp boundary he was claimed. His life slowly made sense and after talking with Chiron he began to accept everything as his new life. He soon adapted well to life in camp and found he even excelled in swordsmanship. Now six years later, camp is all he knows. Camp is his family and his home.
